The best of food that Brussels has to offer is from now on available in Anderlecht at "De Boeremet" (Famers' market). This foodmarket is organised every Thursday on our well-known market hall, situated at the Anderlecht slaughterhouses (Abattoir), from 15:00 till 20:00 p.m. It's a completely new market concept, where gastronomy and atmosphere meet eachother.
More than 25 traditional traders to welcome you...
... and present their produce for tasting and, obviously, for sale. This exceptional location, together with the charming atmosphere created by such a traditional farmers market, offers an attractive alternative for afternoon or after work shopping in an agreeable, distracting ambiance. Free carpark on our market grounds is an absolute plus.
This is what we can seduce you withSo far, our market offerings are shrimp croquets, snails, calamares, wines, traditional pasta and sauces, traditional pizzas and other typical Italian specialties, special fine meat products, cheese, farm products, bread and patisserie, milk, battered milk and dairy products, waffles and pastries, biological fruit and vegetables, flowers, green plants, …
The first edition of the market was a huge success. A sunny day, which inspired a 400 people to do their healthy-shopping on the farmer's market. Young and old, they all showed up with a good feeling. They tasted, tried, laughed, eat, drunk and last but not least, they bought a lot of food!
